It all began with a lifelong passion for creativity that simmered within me. But like many, I was in search of that one spark, that moment of true inspiration. And that moment arrived when I embarked on a journey to the enchanting town of Udaipur, India.

Udaipur, with its captivating beauty and rich cultural tapestry, held an unexpected treasure - pottery. The local potters possessed a remarkable ability to breathe life and meaning into their creations. Every piece they crafted told a story, and their work exuded an indescribable warmth and comfort.

It was in this faraway place that I was struck by a profound realisation. I wanted to do the same - to infuse meaning and life into my creations, to bring warmth, comfort, and joy to homes, just like those skilled potters in Udaipur.

With a heart full of inspiration, I took a leap of faith. Balancing a demanding career in the Tech industry, I transformed a modest garden shed into a state-of-the-art pottery studio. The days were filled with solving complex problems and navigating the intricacies of technology, while the evenings were dedicated to crafting beautiful ceramics.

The delicate art of pottery became my sanctuary, a place where I found solace and fulfillment. And as I delved deeper into this newfound passion, I realized that sustainability was the path I wanted to tread. It was about creating beauty that didn't harm our planet.

At Hygge Ceramics, sustainability became the cornerstone of our mission. Every piece crafted is lead-free, ensuring safety and quality. We carefully selected packaging materials - recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable - to minimise our ecological footprint.

But we wanted to do more. In the UK, every order from Hygge Ceramics includes a special touch - wildflower seed paper. It was our way of encouraging our customers to join us in nurturing the environment, creating habitats for bees and insects.

My journey with pottery and sustainability drives me to be a part of the change we wish to see in the world. It's about creating beautiful, sustainable ceramics that add a touch of warmth and coziness to every home.
